I first met David 4 years ago upon my first trip to Manchester. Back then, when he was basically just giving me a hard time for my kiwi accent J, I had no idea he would become such a huge part of my life. Although not technically my father in law, I came to love him as that, as family. When I brought Mia, David’s Granddaughter, over in 2010 David & Lisa were amazing. They had sorted out everything we needed to make life comfortable and easy during our stay. During this time, David was the most wonderful Grandfather to Mia, having her on weekends, running her between houses and being generous to a fault. Not only a great Grandfather, he became a very close friend to me and someone I knew I could trust, rely on and vent to when needed. I believe that events in my life happened, to lead us to both him and all our other now family in Manchester. My life and my daughters are both better for knowing and loving David.
